Design of a new Il Mulino New York restaurant in Tribeca. Il Mulino New York is the original brand of the Il Mulino USA group; its first restaurant opened more than 30 years ago in Greenwich Village and remains the iconic location, attracting an older, wealthier clientele with a design that remained unchanged for decades until a slight modernization at the second Upper East Side location.

The concept of Il Mulino New York is upscale traditional Italian cuisine and refined wines in an elegant, cozy atmosphere.

The objective for the new Tribeca location is to attract a younger clientele of executives from nearby banking and corporate headquarters, changing the perception of the brand—which is often seen by young New Yorkers as being only for major occasions—with a tailored offering and a design that reconciles tradition and modernity.

The restaurant opened in 2018 and is still operating (It has since been renamed 'Il Giglio')
